The way I look at it...

If Ken Stroble can be city manager and city legal advisor, why can't his partner be C.A. and also prosecutor for the city?

I'm voting for Terry Malone for County Attorney.

I have not heard if John Sauer (our current County Attorney.) is going to run again or not, but let's get real here...who would vote or even consider voting for him again...I mean the man is being investigated by the State Judicial Administrator for prosecutorial misconduct and malicous prosecution.

Now granted, these days, we may have misconduct by quite a few elected officials but we sure don't need an official who could prosecute you just because he and his friends don't like what you stand for.

I don't know about you, but we don't need a puppet for a C.A.!!!

I'd sure like to see the Globe to print a story on this and maybe open the eyes of the good people of Dodge City.

Wow, coincidence? Ellis County has a prosecutor that has had similar accusations leveled at him. Hays paper won't print a word either.

Seems like every post you make has a reference to Ellis County??? I don't live in Ellis County - please inform me on why I should be involved in their issues? Shouldn't I pay attention to ours and not be interfering in theirs?

You are right. You most certainly should focus on your own local issues.
I thought I would share the irony that many of the problems that you have are mirrored in some way in my own community. I will do what I can in my community to address the issues that beg for correction and I would encourage you to do the same in yours.
I meant no harm and did not intend to misdirect you from what is important to you.

NOT at all! Hays is of interest to us. Nobody said this board is for Dodge City issues ONLY.

Since the recent inception of the tri-city board, I think we all have learned that Dodge City does things that surrounding towns have done. Hays is very close to Dodge City and does matter to us. Anyway, nobody said that this board is strictly for Dodge City people. I think that Justoo was just making a comment on how Hays faces the same issues as Dodge does. Personally I see that information as useful when trying to understand why we are having problems in certain areas.

As I see it, those who get into positions of power often get the mistaken belief that the rules do not apply to them. A recent example on a national news level is Bloch. I would like to see similar action on a local level.
In the mean time Hays is making changes in the elections by discussing local politics in forums similar to this one. It is an excellent way to vent your political frustrations while finding how many feel like you do. Grass roots efforts many times will start in a place just like this one. This a far better source of information than any newspaper if you truly want to find the heart and soul of a community.
If you feel your government deserves to be watched closer, that is exactly what you should do. Those meetings are open, by law. It may be more difficult for zoning boards and planning commissions to bend the rules if they know you are in the room and listening. These are the people the commissioners can rely on for information on growth in the county.

Sorry if I upset others on this site, (This time I mean it). Larry Daniels is a great human being, great attorney and can be the man to lead the County to the next level.

While most of you know Larry as defending the worst of the worst of criminal offenders in Ford County, he is so much more. Larry is a man that works fraud cases, child support and much more. Larry realizes that with this position comes political responsibilities.

Larry has been there and done that. Larry is a family man and a Dodge City Man. We owe him our support. He has mine. I am willing to put my money where my mouth is. I will donate to his cause!

I like Terry Malone as a person. I like Larry Daniels as a attorney, friend , person and County Attorney!
