| Don't retreat - you have a point. And it's as valid a point as any others on the board. Sometimes we make points that make friends and sometimes we make points that lose friends! No problem - nobody really knows who you are....well, most of us, anyway!

| What is so wrong with Sauer?

| Welcome, Moody. Well, I could tell you a few things! But...well, you know.

you? I know Sauer, and I like him personally. Just as I know and like Malone. As far as the job Sauer is doing, nobody will please everybody all the time and I'm not satisfied with everything he has done, (or not done in some cases). But I like the fact that he is an outsider. Not part of the good 'ole boy network that has always been one of the biggest problems in Dodge City/Ford County. And it is still a problem. Anyone that's been around this area for any amount of time knows that too. It does seem the citizens are waking up to that fact more and more as time goes by, or there is just more information out there, and the good 'ole boy deals are a little harder to get done.

| Some of the "good ol' boys" got to Sauer sometime, as he backed off of his prosecution of Terry Lee last year. He had plenty of witnesses that could refute Lee's story, yet he didn't bother to call them to the stand. That's a good enough reason for me to support anyone else running for the office. |
