    Hobby Lobby closing?

Couple people were talking about this at work the other day. Said that they'd heard our Hobby Lobby is closing. I hadn't heard that, would really suck if it did. It's not like Walmart has any kind of arts/crafts stuff at all anymore. And there's really noplace else in town to get crafty stuff like that. :(

I heard that too, but don't know if it is true. Hobby Lobby is now available on-line.

I feel your pain, Mead Mice - I was going to suggest on-line too - but sometimes it's hard to match colors and sometimes you need it NOW!

I really don't believe that they would be closing. Its always busy there, and the casino and special events center should only increase their traffic into the store.

i have been surprised that they have not closed before now. There is absolutely no customer service. no one ever says hi, asks if they can help you, even when it is clear that you are standing there looking for something. slower than molasses at the checkouts. they are only still open because they are the only place in town--but even so, it's never very busy when i am in there.

why would the casino traffic effect hobby lobby. except casino goers have less money after visiting the casino.
Beam me up Scotty, there’s no intelligent life left down here.

Casino brings people to town. Maybe the husband wants to gamble, and the wife doesn't so, she goes shopping, maybe at Hobby Lobby.

I decided not to participate in the rumor mill around town so I contacted Hobby Lobby corporate directly. The rumor is false. There are no plans to close the store. Good thing, too....it's one of the last fairly clean places to shop in this town.

Nice initiative and welcome to Dodgeboard. Also, thanks for the post to inform people about what you found out.
