| Geography Question. How could she have gone thru Goddard at 11:05 am, and then thru Cimarron at 11:26, and Dodge at 12:13. Goddard's 140 miles from Dodge, so how'd she get there so fast? And why'd they go thru Goddard, back to Dodge, then back to Wichita. Something doesn't add up.

| Shelby Marchel looked very nice on the program today - I don't know her, but she really looked pretty. I thought Dodge City was portrayed in a postitive light. They had a big bit about the smell of the feed yards near "Goddard" - before they got to DC - So I am thinking it was Garden City-Ingalls area, definately not Goddard. They made Wichita out to be a hick town - a hick town with a Hyatt. I missed the very beginning - but the one guy sure doesn't know his firearms.... he found "shotgun shells" outside of his room - but then did correct himself and say that they were .22 Shotgun shells...oh well...city boys ya know! |

| After watching the show yesterday, my impression of Oprah is even less than what it was before watching. All she did was complain the whole time, and evidently she was born with a "silver spoon" in her mouth?? How did she build her millions and empire, with an attitude like hers? If this is the way the super rich act, I am glad that I am a "poor Kansan"!! Shelby looked better with makeup on the show!! That will teach her to come to work unkept! Evidently, the City Folk don't know how to edit their trip either, as there were several sequences out of order. And Oprah was so "WOW" about the "cowboys". Doesn't she realize she was in the "Cowboy Capital" when she was in Dodge?? Monster, the old operator of the Dodge House was an A$$hole! I can tell you stories. It is alot better now, but still could use improvement at times, as most DC eating establishments! I say give it a try again. The only problem with the entire facility, is that the owner, some camel jockey, won't spend any money on maintenance! Marchel's just lease the restaurant space. |

| Saw the show yesterday....I dont usually watch Oprah...but hoping I would see my beloved DC...I watched...... to my surprise .... there was Clark Pharmacy in Cimarron.. Jim and Sandy... ... oh my........ memories........I think I only ate at the Dodge House one time.... it was awful...That was along time ago... The show was out of sequence .... I believe that was Ingalls feed lot altho I dont remember it having lots on the north side of the road... hummm...unless they have added some..????...it was portrayed as Goddard....???? I was confused for a minute... TK... she was raised a poor Mississippi girl and has forgot her background I think... Im sure she picked cotton back in the day.... cause all poor folks , black and white picked cotton....and bet she used an outhouse too... I know Oprah doesn't eat beef according to her...but I bet the rest of her crew does and where there is the best beef in the world there is beef poop.... Poop stinks....and I will venture to say..... Oprah's stinks too..... There is an old joke about giving a fur coat to a .......well you know......my bad...Im like you TK....rather be a poor red neck...then to be so snooty...

| Jim and Sandy were pictured on the show? I lived several years in Cimarron with hubby #1 - and it became home for me, too. 'Course, ain't no place like 'home' Dodge City! No matter how things change, Clark Pharmacy's always been there!

Yep KC... Jim and Sandy..... It was awesome... you could tell it was staged tho... cause there were no other people there and usually its packed and Jim was working behind the soda fountain, with Sandy instead of in the pharmacy... but it was like a trip back home to see them on the show ![]()
