| RIP Jim James L. Nitsch
DODGE CITY - James L. Nitsch, 72, died Nov. 18, 2005, at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City.
He was born April 3, 1933, in Freeport, Ill., the son of Frank and Florence Woock Nitsch. He attended school in Waterloo, Iowa. A resident of Dodge City, he had worked as a sales manager for Pioneer Barber and Beauty Supply Company, Fort Wayne, Ind., managed the Yankee Clipper Restaurant and the Ford County Sheriff's Office, retiring in 1998.
He belonged to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Dodge City, and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2955 and the Shriners and the Shriner Clown Club.
Survivors include: three brothers, Russell E., Columbus, Ohio, Anthony J., Tacoma, Wash., and Michael, Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Hiser, Angola, Ind., and Barbara Cooper, Huntington, W.V.; and a stepmother, Margaret Knull, Perrysburg, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Nitsch.
Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, with the Rev. Randall Jahnke presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. There will be no public visitation; cremation has taken place.
Memorials may be sent to the MDA or the Crisis Center of Dodge City both in care of the funeral home. |
