| I would enjoy it if Gene built another heartland over there...I am one that loves the "smaller" businesses...I try to shop there as often as I can...I really would like me young daughter to see some of the stuff I did when I was younger...I may just have to move out of "Mexico" and go straight for Europe...

| You guys talking "old", I was around when they invented soda pop!  Tee, if it wasn't for pop bottle deposits, sometimes we wouldn't have eaten! But that's another story. Anybody remember the Spud Nut shop?? How about Georgios cinnamon rolls-------mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! And Lurker, how come you know so much about Eve's????  |

| What's Eve's? Older brother was a regular at Duffy's. I was waaay to good for that (meaning Mom would have killed me on the spot). I remember the spudnut shop and was crushed when it closed. Wasn't that the first place in Dodge you could buy frozen Coke? Ahhhhhhhhh progress. I miss the good ol' days.

| I made Spudnuts for Thanksgiving. None of the young ones had ever heard of them. They were great. What a great memory.
