Big Brothers Big Sisters Fundraiser

Hello Everyone,

I thought that this would be a good place to get the word out about a Fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ford County.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is Partnering with B & B Theater by selling B & B Bucks. The Theater will be giving part of the proceeds collected to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ford County. They will be selling them from December 1 until Jan. 3.

B & B Bucks are gift certificates that can be used at any B & B Theater for Admission or Concessions. B & B Bucks come in a book and are sold for $10.00 per book.

They would make great Christmas Gifts, stocking stuffers, gift exchanges or just because you would like to support a great program and use them for yourself.

You can purchase your B & B Bucks at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ford County office located in the basement of the Village Square Mall or you can call the office at 620-225-0432.

Please note that they must be purchased from Big Brothers Big Sisters and not the Theater itself in order for them to receive the proceeds.

We appreciate all of your support during this Holiday Season and hope that you will be able to help out is some way.

I hope everyone out there can get involved in backing this group any way they can.

I had a big brother when I was young. My parents were divorced when I was very young and my father was totally out of the picture as I was growing up. BBBS filled a void in my formative years and my big brother was great in helping me out. I can remember him taking me fishing for the first time in my life and going to McDonald's for ice cream.

I have no idea where he is now or what he is doing, but I would like to thank him for the time and experiences he shared with me. Norm, wherever you are, this one's for you.

We go to the movies almost every weekend. I would much rather see some of the money go to Big Brothers/Big Sisters, than all of it to the theatres. Count me in for $50 worth.

I have difficutly getting away between 8-5 weekdays. Is there anyway you can illicit some help from the Sweettooth, let them hold some of them for you for the weekened/after-hours sales? I am sure Dortha would be happy to help with that.

Does BBBS have a paypal account? If not, it may be a good idea to have one. Paypal has no-charge accounts for non-profit organizations and it makes it easier for you to accept online donations for other activities as well. If you have a paypal account, us cyber-junkies could instantly "paypal" you the $ and then you could mail the bucks to us. Let me know if you need help setting that up.

Admin, could you promote this thread, so that it gets high visibility?

Hey that is a great idea. I think i contributed and didnt even know it. Bought some movie bucks yesterday for the kids friends for christmas.

We can come by your place anytime to drop off your B & B Bucks. We are more than willing to do deliveries to a reasonable location. Just let us know when you are there. Right now we do not have access to a paypal account but that has been discussion in the past.

If you are really interested in reconnecting with your Big Brother just call our office and we can try and locate him for you. That is something that we really would enjoy to do for you and him. I'm sure that he would love to hear what an impact he has made in you life.

Again, if you are interested in purchasing the B & B Bucks you must get them directly from us in order for us to receive part of the proceeds.
