| TexKan - Habitat for Humanity may well be helping your sister this weekend. They may be able to put you in touch with an organization that could help her by laying the carpet for her. The Email would be yahna.gibson@habitatkc.org. I don't know if they would lay the carpet for her, but they might be able to suggest an organization that might. Good luck! If I could do it, I'd go do it for her. I just hate to see the elderly on a fixed income unable to keep their houses because they can't do all the work themselves. Sad when family is so far away and none of them seem to care to make a difference. Let us know how this turns out! ![]()

| I always tell my kids - Ya can pick your friends but ya can't pick your family.... I think that fits for her group. GOOD News - I talked with her about 30 min ago and the "baseball team" was there. She was just so excited. They cleaned the yard (big one too!) and caulked her many windows. Even the coaches were there! She spotted the pitcher right off. The kid with the blower - LOL She felt that MUST be the pitcher since they "protect thier hands" LOL She had joy in her voice that I haven't heard for weeks!! I am so grateful to them all. She sees some sun in her dreary world today. Bless them all!!

| I don't know how to forward off of this site to another lurker - but did go to link and found the contact to be blattner@dc3.edu So I'm emailing him or her. I probably know who it is but by the 1st name only - just not by the last. My sis actually is involved with them and I dealt with them in my DC life....LOL They are very strong advocates for the elderly - Funny on their website - hell I knew bout 3 of the folks in the picture. LOL Sure miss that "small town" atmosphere. Thanks! I had all but forgotten those I used to do business with every day!....... I will email my gratitude.

| Forwarding a link to a certain page is usually the most polite way to email a web page. I go to the address bar at the top of Internet Explorer and click once behind the words/numbers and it gets highlighted automatically. Then I press and hold Ctrl plus the c key. This copies the address. Then I go to the email page and left click once to indicate the starting point of the copied address. Then I press and hold Ctrl plus the v key. This pastes the copied text. This address pasted: http://www.dodgeboard.com/forums/sho...?p=339#post339 The same functions will copy and paste any text message. By moving the I bar at the start of finish of any text message and then holding the left click button you can move the I bar to the other end of the text to highlight said text. Perform the same copy function (ctrl + c) and then locate the place where you want it pasted with a single click at the starting point. Perform the paste function (ctrl + v) The following is a copy and paste from your post: I always tell my kids - Ya can pick your friends but ya can't pick your family.... Notice that it didn't copy your bold & underlined type. Here I pushed the quote button on your post and opened the message up with those commands included so that a copy and paste produces this: Quote:
