| Wyatt Earp 09/12/2007 - info Just wanted everyone to be aware that, although the cones and most construction signs have been removed, the speed limit on Wyatt Earp, between Central and 14th is STILL 20mph. The construction is not totally complete and the speed is still posted 20mph. We have been asked to continue to enforce the speed limit until such time as the signs are switched to 30mph. Thanks in advance, P158

| Yeah it was..... but I still have a question.... Why would they take down all the cones and construction signs if it is still a construction zone? Are we (the city) trying to now pay for the construction through fines?

| No. Actually, there is still a small bit of construction going on. Mainly the curbs and business enterances. The 20mph is precautionary due to he construction workers duties so close to the street. Not that getting hit at 20mph is going to feel better then 30mph, but there is a better reaction time all around at 20mph. P158

LFB I have only seen 3 20MPH signs and the 30MPH signs are visible so how can the construction speed limit be enforced when (by McDonalds it reads 30 MPH) there are conflicting signage? X-S6

| I have driven down Wyatt Earp and so have the officers on my shift, the 30mph signs are currently covered up. In fact, I will go drive Wyatt Earp again and make sure of this (just drove the eastbound side and no 30mph visable). There were, in fact, some 20/30 signs mixed earlier in the day, but that has be taken care of. If it was still in effect, I would have had the appropriate people take care of the issue, before we would enforce the 20mph. P158

| 30 MPH is the honest-to-God speed limit (not now) down Wyatt Earp from Central to 14th? Are you kidding me? WOW! Thanks for the warning for next time I come down to visit sissy. To me, a 4-lane highway is 45. At least. Oops! ![]()

| Okay. Did some checking.... Westbound - there are 20mph signs starting in front of Frontier Ford, one at 4th, 9th and in front of KFC. The End Constuction sign is a block past 14th. Eastbound - 20mph sign at the Pizza Hut west of 14th, one at 11th and one in front of Arby's. The End Construction sign is at Central. There are no 30mph signs posted within the construction zone.
