If wanting the people who come in to our country to do it legally and then contribute after they get here instead of taking what ever freebie they can get their hands on at the expense of hard working people makes one a racist then put my name on the list too.

Well Welcome Juan - I don't think folks are racist just because they don't find this event (and that is giving it more credit than it's due) appaulling. I should not have to defend to anyone that I am not a racist. Infact I feel the one that calls the race card first IS indeed more racist than I ever could be. No one should have to get on this board and defend to someone where they stand. It's about illegal's not following the system. They aren't always Hispanic in fact they aren't all from Mexico. When you take advantage of a system that is set up to help those who DO follow the rules to get here then you are not only illegal - you are a con and and thief. They come in many colors - not just brown. They are all scammers just the same.

When immigration is the problem what other group do ya look at?

It's not THE problem in DC but it certainly is a big one and possibly the Root problem of alot of issues that DC contends with. Seen any "western heritage" other than DC Days lately and how come the "embracing of heritage" is so secular? I seem to get so much "multi culture" that the politicians & visitors have forgotten our "american culture".........It's just gettin tiring at times - that's all.

I guess then, Juan, we should not blame a majority of our problems on the local city and county commissioners, that would be racist too. Don't point out that teenagers make up over 95% of the gang problems, that would be prejudiced against teenagers.
I appologize if it offends your sensative nature that the majority of illegal aliens come from Mexico, and the majority of those living here work at the meat packing plants, and that the constant tax breaks given to the plants puts a major strain on us property owners. I appologize that our census shows us that only 26k people are living here yet we have 6 overcrowded elementary schools with need for more.
I am sorry if all that offends you or seems racist. I guess we could all just bury our heads in the sand with you and wish for it to get better.

Like I said in an earlier post if wanting everyone to be legal and pay their own way regardless of their race is racisit then so be it.
