Birth Announcement!
Finally, after many long, sleepless nights...weird cravings for Taco Tico bean burritos...and just general crankiness...

On January 3, 2008, at 9:37AM, my daughter Avery Ellen Whelchel was born into the world! She was born C-section, weighed 7 lbs 14 0z, 20 inches long, and a full head of dark brown hair! Mom and baby are both doing well and got to come home early this afternoon.

This picture was taken about 9:55 - when she was about 15 minutes old!
