I saw Uncle Meat yesterday. Didn't get to talk to him, but physically he looked OK! Heard his better half is opening a stand in Alaska, calling it "Cold Cuts"!!

I very rarely go into Walmart, I shop Dillon's, Radio Shack, online shopping, Sears and Target and Home Depot in Garden City, and the trip to Wichita for Best Buy and other places not found locally. I would say that it has been at least 5 or 6 months since I have set foot in Walmart.

I too go to those places you mentioned. Sometimes though if I need something like "right now" I have to go in there. (If Orscheln's or Dillon's doesn't have it.)

It really sucks though that we don't have more choices in D.C..

That is one of the main reasons I don't shop at Walmart if at all possible.

I wasn't there, but as things turn out, I know somebody who knows somebody....

While true one of their group did help themselves to the beer tap. So did at least one "other" person from a different group. So why did the person from the group of 18 get the police called out about him getting his own beer, while nothing happened to the other person or people that did the same thing.

While I don't disagree that they shouldn't have "helped themselves" to the beer tap. If one person gets the police called and gets kicked out because of it, every person that did it should get the same treatment.

From what I heard, management and wait staff said the person asked to leave was seen by employees and on video pouring his own beer by leaning over the bar. Management said they thought the person sitting next to this suspect also did the same thing, but they could not prove it and no employees saw him.

The group of people was not asked to leave - only the one individual in question, and he wisely got a ride home. The rest of the party was allowed to stay there, even though they were notorious for being loud in the family bar and grill environment and not tipping the help. I agree that someone who doesnt tip shouldnt be treated any differently than someone who tips very well, but we know the known big-tipper will get that little extra attention. But, you also have to kind of feel for the bartender that works hard all night to get those tips they depend on but gets nothing because the same people have been sitting at the bar for 4 hours and then dont leave anything for the service.
