Just letting everyone know that Bobs Pawn shop is now doing money loans like Moneys Lenders does and those other Loan Places. He's been doing it for awhile, but I thought I'd inform you all just in case you didn't know. Sometimes you just need that few extra $$$$ go see Jeff at Bobs Pawn shop!!!!!!

Super high interest that helps people who already can't manage money dig their hole a little deeper.

I think they are nothing more than a problem.

I gotta agree on that...

It is one thing for a person a little bit short on cash to be needing a small amount of help. However, I know too many people that use these kind of services every other week to pay bills and it is not helping them in any way - they just spend money on getting the loan in the first place, and the businesses - while totally legit - are more than happy to collect this money.

It's just about like loansharking. It's charging an unimaginable interest rate on a short term loan. These places do nothing good for people but take advantage of their situation.

Well hell I guess I started something here. All I wanted to do is advertise again and look what happened! Sometimes people do screw up and don't have anyone to help them, this is where these places come in handy. For instance say your car broke down, you have no money.....get the picture?? Some people just aren't rich like you wordy!

It's not about being rich. It's about, once you start using these places it's hard to get out of using them. You borrow from them say $200. You have to pay it back in 2 weeks, but not $200, more like $230-250. Now you just spent $250 out of your paycheck to pay back the LEGAL loanshark. You find yourself again without enough money left in the paycheck to pay bill, buy groceries, etc. So...you have to go back to the place to borrow more money just to survive another 2 weeks!

It's a vicious cycle that is very hard to break once most people get started.


PS. Not only that, but that particular pawn shop deals in stolen merchandise. Maybe not all, but I know for a fact that some of it is/was.
