| didn't they just integrate windows into MAC? so you can run both side by side? that makes MAC a customer of MS so what's all the surprise about? Business is business......... I don't see the hur rah of all this. hell they both still makin a ton of $$ who cares if it's by usin each other. Seems it'a makin the PC folks more loyal and touting a new product as well.

| lol you guys are killing me..... sure the adds are quirky, and probably stretch the truth, but what company doesn't stretch the truth about their products? Car advertisement..... yeah our cars are boxy and ugly, get poor gass milage and the ride is really terrible! come buy one of ours. don't think so. But they would not be able to keep them on the air if there were was false or missleading information in them. Would they? Buy one try it out, take apple to court if it doesn't work out the way they say. False advertising. Last edited by macdaddy; 07-12-2006 at 10:40 AM. |

| I agree they all tend to stretch the truth a bit. I was just pointing out that these ads have got to be aimed at current MAC users because anyone thats ever bought a PC knows its false. It could only serve to try and convince MAC users that thats the way a PC is. For the record I've installed well over 500 NEW PC's and not one did I ever need to download new drivers or uninstall trial software before I could use it.

| What was it about 2 months ago a guy claimed to be the first ever mac to get a virus. In every article I read that week an expert would respond with "where are they getting their information from? viruses on macs have been around for years" I would say they both can't right. Sounds like mac is using a loophole of somekind to be able to say things like that. Something like "Oh a mac virus isn't really a virus technically" that was until a PC type virus finally found a way in that can be identified by name as a virus. We just never named ours before so we weren't sure what it was until 2 months ago. Or they weren't technically a virus until someone manage to prorogate (sp) it. Never had a Mac so I can't say I know which is better. Worked on a few and it seems they were made for complete idiots to use. As a tech, that would be like the Maytag guy's job. They made better music software I hear. Just opinions. |
