| Spyware Help I am doing some work on a computer that was riddled with spyware and viruses. I ran Microsoft Anti-Spyware on it and cleaned them all off. Ran it twice more just to be safe and it found nothing. I then ran AVG Anti-Virus and it found about 16 viruses. Cleared them off, also ran it twice more and found no more viruses. There is still an icon located in the taskbar saying that the computer is infected with spyware, when clicked the icon attempts to open a webpage. The desktop wallpaper is also "hijacked" and says the computer has spyware. I try to change the wallpaper but it will not let me and I have ran both of those scans and still nothing. Any suggestions?

| Thanks for the help guys, I just downloaded the Spybot S&D. This is a computer I am working on not mine personally and they had no anti-virus and this thing was in bad shape. When I got it, it wouldn't even boot up. But I've gotten it step-by-step closer to being virus free.

| If its XP make sure you are logged in as an administrator and that system restore of turned off. If its XP Home Edition just save yourself some time and shoot the PC.
