Help

Just wondering if anybody had any good home remedies for removing smoke/water damage from internal components of a PC? I had a Pentium IV 3.0 ghz processor, 2 gb of RAM, Nvidia GeForce 6800 Ultra 256 mb, and 400 gb hard drive. It received more damage from the FCFD's hoses than the smoke and fire. The Motherboard seems like it might have a short or just be shot, but wanted to clean it up and check it first. Any thoughts?

Go out to John Deere and get a can of their electrical contact cleaner. Good stuff and cheap too. Wash it off and then see what you have.

Great suggestion, thanks. I'll pick some up and see what happens.

Well I bought the electrical contact cleaner and cleaned the motherboard, but it still isn't working. So I think I will have to break down and order a new motherboard for it. Thanks for the suggestion though.
