Thanks to all who helped. My computer is finally up and running from the fire. The only thing I had to replace was the motherboard and hard drive, and they both have a 5 year warranty. WoooHooo!

Thanks, but unfortunately I lost about 400 Gigabyte of information. But as long as my computer is running again I can always replace that info.

Eek!!! Good attitude, but replacing that data isn't gonna be fun.......unless you know exactly where to go to get it. The thing is...I don't even remember I had it until I need it and then it's too late!

Motherboard, Hard drive.........????? I'm a point and click girl myself. I expect this puter to run and run quickly......my other 1/2 has a real hard time keepin my "lack of puter skills" life happy...... speed - all I want is speed....LOL

I'm glad your up and goin Dustin. Our MB died that's how I finally got the speed I need...... He paid someone to salvage the info off the hard drive then gave it to our neighbor to up grade his puter..... I just don't dable in all that - it confuses me.......LOL

Hey Dustin now try putting that old drive on as a slave or secondary master. If only the boot-sector was damaged it may still work fine as a slave.

Also, next chance you get ask BJ about those Camaros. See what his plans are and if he's interested in selling them.

Hey, TexKan - Mornin'! The thing I really don't get (I pretend to understand everything else till I get a chance to read about it) - is this 'slave' business. I think they're talkin' dirty and just don't want us to know about it.
