Music Downloading

I am considering purchasing an MP3 player, I know there are only a few to choose from . My initial concern is being able to download the music legally, storing it on my PC, being able to burn it on to a CD, and transfering the file to up to 3 MP3 players if needed. I would rather pay a monthly fee for a reasonable amount of downloads, than per track. Anyone out there familiar with this jibberish?

The only one I am familiar with is iTunes, that go with the Apple iPod. I have a video iPod and love it. It, however doesn't have a monthly fee, it is pay per song or pay per album. One thing that I really like about it though is that if I already own the CD, I can import the CD to iTunes. I don't have to repurchase/download songs that I already own on CD. Also, you have the capability to burn the songs in iTunes to blank CD's.

I am with Bubba on this one. iPod is the best. I have an old 20GB picture iPod and it works great, even after a year in Afghanistan. And iTunes works well with Windows Vista, but some other programs do not. Not yet anyway.

I have an older iPod 30 gig and it's OK. I've also got over 5000 tracks on my computer from ripping my CD collection.

If you have cd's you want to turn into MP3 the best software I've found is DB Power amp.

dBpowerAMP

There are programs you can buy to make your iPod a little more friendly as well.

Here are the 2 I found with a quick look.

Mediashop TunePlus for iPod™ Players - Windows

Tune Tools for iPod - Windows

I agree, I can't get enough of the Flintstones and the Jetsons!
Also I have 3 of the 9 games and like playing them as well. And for Christmas it is easy to just ask for an ITunes gift card they come in 10,15, 25 and I think 50.00 increments! I love my 30gig video!
