| So far... Lord of the Rings Online = World of Warcraft / Dark Ages of Camelot Vanguard = Everquest 1 on steroids Both lead the newbie player around by the nose... Definately both are dumbed down versions of EQ1 and Ultima Online, two of which started (or made the most strides) the MMO era. The thinking involved is lacking. Has to play to the masses and thats the younger generations

| Server/character wipe on Tuesday Jan. 16th... What server is everyone going to when they get a new invite?

| Probably Arwin. Sounds like they may destroy the world today before the server wipe. Turbine is known for doing a "destroy everything/everyone" at the end of a beta. I agree with you 100%. I've never cared much for console style games. I'm a Quake or 3D shooter type. Thats why I play Asherons Call. It's more of a 3D shooter than console.

| Sounds like we will have 3 servers to chose from now. Just got my beta2 invite and DLing as we speak. Still Arwen or yall want to try the Meneldor server for fewer people?

| Lets go with Meneldor. Having trouble logging in. Giving me a weird error. Getting the error message during the loggin process. Occurs when the program attempts to update the program and gives the error message: An update error occured: General access denied error

| I'm having issues as well. I created my new character(Detector) and got to level 6 but when I went to the Hunters Hut(Jon Brackenbrook) to travel to the next level it screws up. I also can't get logged in to the beta forums to report the problem so for the time being I'm s**t out of luck.

| Got my beta2 invite as well and i'm downloading now. Would have done it earlier, but The Burning Crusade expansion for WoW came out and i've been addicted to that for a few days lol
