| Lord of the Rings beta For you gamers. Turbine is taking beta sign-up for their new Lord of the Ring On-line game. Turbine makes the game, Asheron's Call, the wife and I have been playing for years. Look at some of the screen shots on the left. Looks pretty kewl. Seya on Middle-Earth

| WooHoo! Got my invite Tuesday for Lord Of The Rings On-line beta. Downloaded LOTRO software last night. At 2,8gb it took about 45 minutes. Tonight(8:00pm) we go in-game to do a stress test on the servers. They are also giving away cool stuff(new Nintendo) to players randomly if you are playing.

| i signed up...doubt i'll get the invite. you know how my problems go when it comes to playin games. Oh well que sera sera. Don't need that game taking up the small time that i already have.

| I know there is a NDA, but what are your first impressions? Been reading a bit about the game and there seems to be alot of solo content. This is good for me, since its too hard for me to make raids or sit around for groups to form. I also signed up for beta... |

| I'm a solo player myself. It's a lot like World of Warcraft(WOW). I've managed to get my Elf Champion to level 15 all solo. I've seen a few level 16's but not many. I can't say just yet If I'd buy LOTRO because we are doing server stress tests and not so much testing content, but I'd recommend it to anyone who like the WOW type games.

| Ive been playing WoW since beta and continue to do so, since I can just log on and mess around for a few minutes or hours. Unlike my time in EQ1, where it takes hours and a group to accomplish anything, in WoW I can solo to max level. Im hoping that LotRs is much the same way. WoW has gone stale after so long playing and the graphics are rather cartoonish. Im a solo specialist, so hopefully it will keep me occupied. Can you jump on for a short time and get things accomplished? (let me know if you answering these questions might get you NDA banned) |

| I also have played WoW since it was first released, but it can get stale, the way I fix that problem is I also have a subscription to City of Heroes/Villains and when I get tired of one, I play the other for a while.

| I just got my Lord of the Rings Online Beta invite tonight, I am downloading the software and hopefully will get to try it out tommorrow.
