| Ah the age old Netscape vs Explorer war. What I find interesting is that both of these competing browsers have the same father(Mosaic). It reminds me of the old battle between IBM and Apple, and I have the tendency to hold a grudge. Apple screwed themselves by the greed for money as did Netscape. The browser wars of the 1990's was played out earlier by IBM and Apple. Both Firefox(Netscape/Mozilla) and Explorer(Mozilla) are based off of the original Mosaic browser. Netscape choose to charge money for their browser while Microsoft gave theirs away. A common practice of Microsoft and the reason for their success. Anyone remember the days when a web site might say "Best viewed with Netscape Navigator" or "Best viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer" in the 90's? In the end IE won the war because it was free, faster and support the new browser standard. Once again Netscape is trying to make a comeback through Firefox but I don't think it will do it. I myself prefer software tightly integrated with the operating system. As a armature programmer I know how important this can be. Every now and then I try one of the "next generation browsers" but I always end up back with Explorer. A lot of people don't care for Microsoft, due mostly from the propaganda adds put out by the competition, but like IBM if not for the way they do business we could easily be paying $5,000 for a basic PC and $5,000 for the operating system.

| I have had firefox for about a month now and LOVE it...I have D/L a couple of extras for it. I like the ability to be able to access a screen without right clicking and opening in a new window by using the hover thing....

| I have another issue. Whenever I want to use Outlook Express for email I have an argument with it wanting to install "PRO11.MSI" and eventually it relents and 'works'. I've searched my h-d's and can't find that file.
