I wanna play games

I need some help please. I just had to reload Windows onto my computer, which to my amazement I was able to do by myself. I think all went well. Just now I tried to look around to see what I need to do next and for fun I tried to get on the Arcade here to calm my nerves. I cant play any of the games. They are all blank when I try to bring them up. What am I doing wrong??? Im sure I need to download something, but what? I also did just download Adobe, I think something poped up and told me I needed that so I did it. I still cant play any games. Someone please help me. Thankyou

More than likely you need to download and install java and flash. Most online games require one or the other to play (usually flash).

If you have installed both, try using a different browser. Some admin restrictions we have here at work keep us from seeing embedded flash or java, but if we switch to internet exploder they work just fine.

You might also want to make sure that java is allowed in your browser. It can be found under Tools/Options/Content in most browsers.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

You might also want to check your hardware drivers to make sure all devices are working properly.

Right Click on My Computer and go to Properties. Click on the Hardware Tab and then the Device Manager button. Look in the list of devices for anything with a yellow ! which means t here is a problem.

Thank you all so much. Im back... and playing! I still have much to do on here to get EVERYTHING back, but at least i can relax here.

All the games here are FLASH games.

Most likely it's a browser s/w problem. (old version, dirty cache, option disabled, s/w not downloaded, etc)

You might have never received or installed the plugin or it has become corrupted.

What was the problem?

Computer crashed I guess. I had to reinstall Windows and start over. Pretty proud of myself. I am NOT a computer wiz by any means. Still having a little problem and not sure what to do about that either. I really need to find a good, TRUSTWORTHY, computer tech to come check it out.
