| You sure that it's your motherboard? Sometimes it is hard to tell. When you strip it down to basics you have MB, CPU, Memory, Power and Video. Chances are it is not your power (if it powers on) or your video or memory. How do you determine what is bad, CPU or MB? cant really without haveing a known good CPU or known good MB for testing. If you had the money i would recomemd a MB/CPU bundle from tigerdirect.com |

| Ok check it out, the other day this PC was running just fine, its a athlon xp2400 with onboard video and 1 gig ram. I went to use it recently and got nothing. The case and PS fans were all running and my monitor was off. First thing I did was swap out the ram for some that I know to be good, still nothing I get power but no response on the monitor. So then Im thinking mabye the onboard Video went out on it, and hooked up a video card to it, and wouldn't you know it still nothing. I have even tried to hook up a different PS with no luck. I tested the CPU in a friends PC and its fine, so Im 100% that its the mobo. I would buy one from Tiger but this is one of my LAN PC's and dont want to drop a bunch of cash on it, at least no more than 30 bucks. Thanks for the input though Zeb. |
