| Hdtv I may begin looking to upgrade to an HDTV (if I can save up some green). I watched a football game on one awhile back, and it was like I was standing on the side-lines. Does anyone have any knowledge or any ideas? Brand, type, technical info, or so forth? All this new technology is tough on an "old man"!  I am on a satellite dish, and I know I have to upgrade my receiver too.Thanks in advance for any help!     |

| The Vizio brand that WalMart sells is actually a good tv for the money. It might not have the BEST picture out there, but it isn't lacking by very much at all and when you factor in the price it is probably the best deal out there today in my opinion. I know several people that have them and they are all pleased with them. You can get a 32" flat panel LCD widescreen for around $600 and a 42" flat panel LCD widescreen for around $900.

| Good links Wizard. One thing that I didn’t see mentioned yet is that plasma puts off a lot more heat than LCD. Depending on where someone wants to park the unit, it might be a factor. Check the display models for yourself when shopping.
