More monitor problems...grrr

I came home and my monitor on my computer doesn't work now. It's not coming on but it makes a slightly audible (if you listen really close) wee wee wee sound. I tried a different power cord but that didn't help so I guess it's the monitor. I have my laptop and was wondering if I can plug my home computer into my laptop and view the home computer on the laptop monitor. If so how?

If not does anyone have a monitor they wanna sell?

No. Unless your laptop supports some kind of video input, all the ports on your laptop are outputs.

I think one time my ISP plugged there laptop into our home computer, next time we started our home computer had a fatal error about some hardware conflicts, came from there laptop onto ours and they had to come out and fix our desktop. Maybe a fluke with mine but I would check out further before I plug it in.

Also too, my pc monitor did the same thing as i stated on the other thread, had a update to the new IE explorer 7. After monitor finally came on after 3 or 4 hours I rebooted it and works fine now. Tee told me what he thought it was and it still might be my prob but is working fine now.

Could all of these power outages, that we have been having lately, cause the problem?

By the way Army, I hope KONQ Radio cleaned up your house! I kept telling him that we shouldn't have that party there while you were gone, but he wouldn't listen.

Yeah... I blacklighted the place and there are "spots" everywhere...thanks guys...hehehehe
