YAY! Im getting a New computer! A laptop to be exact! Im gonna buy it with my Bar-Mitzva money! Its a Dell XPS m1530... And it even comes with this

Like I said there on your forums, buy the extended warranty for the Dell laptop. I have had good luck with the desktop, but all the Dell laptop hardrives went bad, maybe they have done some work to take care of it. Just my opinion. I also would have upgraded to bigger hardrive.

you should have ordered a macbook. now that Apple uses the Intell chip and one can imbed windoze on it, there's no reason not to. it's a much more stable and easier to use platform.

You need at least 2 Gig of ram for Vista to run well. I would recommend the digital TV tuner also. It's a very inexpensive addition that comes in very handy.

As a computer professional, I have to say that Vista is a huge disappointment to me. I have many stories of companies that have reverted to XP after a Vista deployment. Make sure you have XP available for your operating system.
