    Google Chrome anyone?

Google is releasing its own Web browser - Google Chrome - today in a long-anticipated move aimed at countering the dominance of Microsoft's Internet Explorer and ensuring easy access to its market-leading search engine (read more - Houston Chronicle) (read more - Yahoo!) I have been using Google Chrome and I love it. I lock up on all kinds of sites with MS Internet Explorer and Google Chrome opens them up and faster! I like it even better than Firefox. It's design is in keeping with Google's search engine site; quick, easy, and efficient.

Leave it to Google to make a better product than Microsoft!

When it starts up, it shows you little thumbnails of the sites you visit the most for quick navigation. It's well thought out.

It's light, not bloated code like MS or even Firefox. Download is small and fast.

    It can be downloaded here.

No adblock or spellcheck! Sticking with Firefox for now. :)

All great religions, in order to escape absurdity, have to admit a dilution of agnosticism. It is only the savage, whether of the African bush or the American gospel tent, who pretends to know the will and intent of God exactly and completely.

Gotta admit, I love the spellcheck feature on Firefox! Comes in handy on these forums too, where people sometimes give crap about spelling errors.

I've been sticking with Firefox and absolutely love it.

For the person who mentioned that Google Chrome opens up pages faster than Firefox, have you heard of the speed up Firefox trick? I've personally done it and there is a night and day difference between IE and FF.

Been thinking about Chrome but I'm just not sure.

    Speed Up FireFox

I guess someone finally made a website just for it.

Anyways, the part where it talks about setting the max requests, it recommends 30. I set mine up to 60. I'm not sure if it really makes a difference, or if a certain number is too high.. but mine ran pretty good with 60.

Which version of FF do you have? Do you still have the older version or did you download 3.0? I downloaded 3.0 and I think it's actually alot slower. Been having problems loading pictures and pages with alot of text. I'm on Chrome right now and it's almost convincing me to switch.. I'm going to give it a thorough test run first though.

    Thanks for the link.

I also upgraded FF to 3.0.1
I haven't noticed any issues with it yet.

I am test driving Chrome on another PC.
It is nice, but am still sold on FF for now.

Again, thanks for the tweak. Will give it a shot.................

No problem. Speeding it up will make a world of difference.

So far Chrome has got me, I'm glad I downloaded it now. Only one thing I really want to try.

With FF, you can't attach pictures to e-mails with Hotmail.. going to run off and see if I can do that with Chrome. Will report back.

Edit: Big problem. Hotmail doesn't even recognize Chrome. It's telling me to upgrade, I can't use Hotmail on Chrome.

So, that leaves me with two options. Go back to FF, or use a different e-mail service. Much easier to switch back.. dang, might have to wait until Chrome is recognized by MSN.
