Gotta new HP dv7-2270us notebook, so far, so good.

After spending years in the tech dark-ages, I finally got high speed cable (Cox) and a new laptop to replace my old XP desktop that connected by dial-up. It's a new-fangeled 17" HP with all the 'trimmins; Win 7 (64 bit), Intel CoreQuad, ATI Radeon graphics, etc. So far, so good. Anyone else have the same, or similar, model? If so, good or bad experiences to share? I decided, at the last second, to go with HP after having two previous Dell desktops (beginning with a Win95 OS, and then going with a 98SE upgrade). Later, I got a newer Dell with XP.

I feel really "uptown" now.

The HP dv7-2270us notebook is just fantastic, that is really what I think.

I have the HP DV6000 got it about a year ago I really like it other than the fact of the keyboard, it just seems cheep to me I guess. I have seen some other laptops like the Dell and their keyboard just seems better to me, but other than that I love mine.

I've had the HP laptop for almost a month now, so an update on my opinion of it...

I like it even more now than I did out-of-the-box. I can't think of anything about it that's disappointed me. If you're looking to replace a desktop or older laptop, I highly recommend the dv7-2270us.
