| I saw this movie this afternoon, and have to say "WOW." This is one of the few movies that has been released in quite awhile that is actually worth paying full price to see. I concede that this movie won't be to everybody's taste as it is a little dark. But, I think the majority of people that see it with an open mind will come away with plenty to talk about with others that have seen it. My favorite line in the movie..."People should not be afraid of the government. The government should be afraid of the people." But, for the government to be afraid "We the People" have to take a stand. We cannot let the government tell us what we have the right to say, to read, to watch, to listen to. We need to let the government know that we don't want the government eavesdropping on us or censoring what we read watch and listen to. The best way to do that is to force the government into passing election reforms about how much money can be spent on elections,(added on edit) that way the best person gets the job, not the richest or the one with the richest friends. It would level the playing field and each candidate would have the same amount of exposure.(end edit) Letting our representatives know how we feel and tell them that they represent us and to vote how "WE" see fit. If they refuse to do those things, we need to step up and vote them out of office until we get somebody in there that will vote in accordance with "OUR" wishes. We must remember how and why this country was started. The government works for us, not us working for the government. Everybody should see this movie on the "big screen" with the "big sound." It is well worth the price of admission. Yes, I will also be buying this when it comes out on DVD.

| One way to control our elected Legislature is that they would lose all benefits granted to them IF they are defeated in a re-election.

| I'm not sure I follow you...do you mean lose pensions and health benefits and the like?? If so, that is another pretty good idea.

| I found this over at the fine folks at JPFO http://www.jpfo.org/index.htm 10 QUESTIONS FOR FREEDOM-SEEKERS ABOUT "V FOR VENDETTA" 1. Do you see parallels between the government in the movie and today's United States government? Do you believe we're moving closer the kind of government shown in the film, or away from it? What are the most important differences between our government and the one in the film? 2. The character of "V" is very complex. Some of his deeds are noble, while others are monstrous. In the film he makes a threat to carry out one specific act on November 5 of the following year. Is that act moral or immoral? Is it useful in a fight against tyranny? 3. If a terrorist is someone who attacks citizens and "civilian" targets in hopes of influencing government, is the character of "V" a terrorist and are his deeds terrorism? 4. General Inspector Finch, the lead man trying to track "V" down, makes an observation about the power of armed citizens vs. disarmed citizens. Do you agree with him and why? 5. Do you agree or disagree with the film's tagline, "People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people"? Why? 6. A prominent film critic said that neither governments nor citizens should fear each other; that the ideal was for them both to work together in mutual trust. Is this possible, and if so how can that balance best be achieved? If you believe it isn't possible, explain why. 7. At the end of the film, did the ordinary people do the right thing? And why do you believe so? Could they have done something more effective? 8. At the end of the film, did the soldiers do the right thing? And why do you believe so? Did you find this behavior realistic? 9. "V" states that "ideas are bulletproof." How would you interpret the meaning of this statement? 10. Think about your own reactions to "V for Vendetta." What parts of the movie evoked your strongest feelings and why? (These feelings might be anything from tears to cheers to disgust to outrage.) Would you say this is a pointless or confusing film? Just one more forgettable comic-book movie? A cool action flick, but with no deep meaning? Or is this an important film you might want to see again and share with others?

| Sounds like a good movie...... but fraid I wouldn't be able to see it with my eyes covered up......... I can't do the violence thing........... so somebody PM me tell me when I can actually look and give me the ending (so I know who's gonna get blasted) and I'll go see the movie............ it's a shame isn't it??? Ya know how ya hate to tell the ending...... cause they won't go see the movie????? I'm probably the only one who has to know the ending first just so I don't have a heart attack in the movie!!........ hence I never get to watch the action movies cause no one will tell me the endings........LOL

| I thought it was just a damned good flick. The story was well done even if they did steal some if from 1984.

| And.....I don't really remember any blood and guts. If there was any it wasn't prominent enough to stick in my memory. Yes there was shooting and killing, but the focus wasn't on the blood and guts aspect of it.
