Hell, the Glob has a hard enough time printing any NEWS in DODGE CITY! You don't want them to "strain" themselves, do you? Course, the food issue should be a lot easier, since that's where the "reporters" spend most of their time around there------eating!!

I've actually known Mike for years, and I'm ashamed to admit that it took me a few months to get around to sampling his restaurant... though I sent a number of my coworkers his direction and they quickly became a favorite around the radio station. Thai isn't usually my thing, but my mom and my girlfriend are quite fond of it, so it was only a matter of time. Besides, he kept reminding me to drop in every time I'd run into him somewhere... told me he'd even make me a cheeseburger if that's what I wanted... Claimed it'd be the best burger in town.

Well... I finally dropped in for dinner one evening, and I was blown away. I didn't, in the end, cop out and order a burger. I quickly fell in love with their teriyaki chicken, however, and have now been back numerous times. The dining room is quite lovely, and I enjoy visiting just for the atmosphere. It's true... the food can take a while... but it's definitely worth the wait. And, of course, there's an excellent lunch buffet that takes a lot of the waiting right out of the equation.

I wholeheartedly endorse Sorocha's, and hope to keep them in business for many years to come.

Second, You may have noticed that DodgeBoard provides audio streams for many radio stations in the vBRadio link on the navigation bar at the top of the page. We even offer local streaming police scanners. Question: When are you guys going to offer streaming audio for the radio station? We would like to put it on this board. We pride ourselves in providing local Dodge City interests to our members. WIBW is not exactly as local as I would like to have, if you know what I mean.

Third, As a FREE, non-profit, clean recreational service to Dodge City, What would it take to get you to mention DodgeBoard.com on the radio? As a PSA?

I have just moved to dodge, but have always enjoyed asian style food and have eaten at many chinese, japanese and thai restaurants whever I get the chance. I was aprehensive about finding a good asian restaurant in dodge, but all I have to say is thank goodness for Sarocha's Thai!
There are very few places in Kansas where you can get curry dishes and theirs are wonderful, Sarocha's offers such a great variety! My husband and I love their yellow curry with potatoes and chicken, however our favorite is the Thai Noodle Salad, it is an absolutly wonderful balance of a meat of your choice, chicken, beef or seafood, noodles, lettuce, cucumbers and marinated carrots all served in a huge bowl with a unique dressing, garnished with crushed peanuts. It's fabulous! It's one of those dishes that you develop a craving for and want again and again.
Keep in mind this is not a fast food joint! Every dish is made to order, homemade, so go on in, relax and enjoy! They also have great thai tea, which is a spicy tea with a creamy milk added. Very sweet but good!
I would be devistated if they were unable to stay open, give them a try, you won't be disappointed! Don't worry about the construction either, take the back entrance off of 14th.

My wife and I went there about 3 weeks ago, and there were so many flies in there, I wanted to leave but my wife new this dude's grandfather, if he is who he says he is, any way our food wasn't that great, Now I don't know when he has time to cook, I believe his wife does all the cooking, for when we were there he stay out front bullshitting with everybody, the new will soon wear off and the trueth will set him free, as far as being duped or played, I was on to him from the time I got in the place, I been reading about all these people from out of town, passing thru or just got into town, and wow here is the finest restaurant they ever have known. and as far as "He" not posting, "He" doesn't have to, just keep conning you people and others.. It's a dirty job but someone has to do it, I believe I have read that quote on here somewhere, LOL Now you all have a great day, and try and stay away from the taco stands, I hate long lines, LOL Last but not least my grandfather was a farmer, and a good one, but I don't know the first thing about farming, but I bet I could bullshit my way into making you believe I was one.

Well darn - ya just can't please everyone - ya know I don't like spicey things either, love tex mex food, but never found any mexican food woth eating in Dodge - and the places ya'll call good mexican food is just so bland it's nauseating! -

We all have different tastes - critique the food sweetie - not the man....... you don't know him well enough to do that - I don't know him at all but truth is it seems his wife does the cooking. If you are right - in time your views will come true. Meantime - I bet you are one of the regulars at a resturant that I can't imagine why it's still in business............. lighten up Bronco-Fan - there's other eatin places!!

I always got good food at Cowtown, the Spur club, what's that beer place cross from the mall??? what's his face owns it.........Larry - hole in the wall but good food. - the Moose had great steaks, was never disappointed...... and what bout Montanna Mikes - thier food isn't any good????

Response: My Wife and I don't eat out much, just for the reason, she is a great cook, but once in awhile we might try a new place. What you or someone else may think is great food, we may differ with you. I believe you missed the point of my response. If you go back to the post I believe someone thought he might had been duped. The way I feel about a restaurant is I have to be comfortable in it, and I wasn't in his, and I thought the food stunk, the appetizer (anyway that is what he said it was) it was cold and looked like he took it off of someone's table who had eaten and left it. I love Thai and Chinese Food, and I ate at his grandfather's restaurant many times when it was at Silver Spur North side off of Spruce. Now that was great food. .. PS; the remark about the taco stands and their lines was a joke, Hee Hee. Don't go there either. " I really like to know what I am eating".. as for"other eatin places!!" been there done that, won't be back. Not really to many places in Dodge City that I like to eat at. Happy eating everyone.
