They will probably die a slow death like so many other businesses in Dodge. Has anyone actually written a complaint to them? I know the complaints weren't taken seriously in person but sometimes written material is different. Ya know you could always contact the CofC and or the BBB if they are members. I bet they subscribe to AAA or some travel club (being the tourist thing). These places usually are pretty good laisons if approached correctly. BBB is big business down here - they will put the bad business on the talk shows and urge folks not to go if they don't clean up the act.

At best, they're entertainers.

I seem to remember them asking for a five-figure loan from Ford County's ec-devo fund several years ago. The dually was bought shortly after that.

I thought tattome82 was talking about Marchel Ranch out on 50 Bypass, not the old Dodge House. Makes no difference, really - if a bad attitude prevails at one location, you can be sure it's at both.

Maybe she got better treatment and food because she was a celebrity.
She was, I brought up the lousy food and service at the Marchel Ranch restaurant at the Dodge House.

I've had good and bad visits to the Marchel Ranch Restaurant, But The Southwest Stuffed Burgers I've had there were some of the some of the best food I've ever eaten, and I've eaten a lot. Not much of a steak eater, mostly because it is such a crapshoot to get one done right, so i get my beef the safe way, ground and formed into a patty.

If you saw the Oprah show, you have to realize why she made such a big deal about it. The gal running the place had a big "O" when she saw the other big "O". Hell she had an "O" when she saw the "O's" best friend! After that reaction I would have made a big deal about the place too, without even tasting the food.

I was referring to both the one on the hwy and at the dodge house. I haven't had any good experiences from either.

There's a pattern here obviously...that's why when you go out there for lunch it's like a ghost town...(they want Western theme..they got it...ghost town..lol) I have mirrored some of the experiences mentioned here and have tried different times...dinner and lunch and will never now go back.

I doubt if the Globe will print anything knocking one of the towns "attractions"...what we could have is a person that once a month or week or whatever tries out a place in Dodge to eat and the writes a little article on it. I suppose it would be like a secret shopper for eateries. I wonder if that would help the service improve?
