| TexKan - you are correct about doing live interviews - usually it is thrown in as a perk to buying the advertising. 97.3 used to have a syndicated morning show ( I dunno any more, dont listen to em), but they are local from 10AM to midnight for sure (altho the late night people on their air are..ahem...let's just say less talented or experienced than the afternoon DJs). Steve Brown does a live morning show on 95.5, Steve Deno is live on 96.3, and John Boy and Billy are syndicated on 93.9. 98.1's morning show is also syndicated and they are on a music feed the rest ofthe day. This event should have been promoted more on 93.9, the classic rock station - I sure would think the demographics would fit their audience better (directed at male listeners). A lot of times the guys at 1370, 93.9, 95.5, and 96.3 (all owned by the same people) will make deals on their advertising rates if it is advertised as the radio stations also sponsoring the event, as long as it is mentioned in all commercials and flyers. |
