I have heard both scenarios, so I guess we will just have to wait and see. If they don't run it any better than the other two, it will be a joke anyway!

Nope, just got back from Cimarron and checked the sign. It's still in front of the La Quinta on the corner of Earp and Wright saying that the Hampton Inn & Suites is coming soon behind the La Quinta.

Bubba- I haven't been watching and noticed this week that the sign has been moved to the the west location. The early rumor was correct and the sign movement was a ploy to acquire the land. It won't be behind the La Quinta - but west of the Dodge House where the mobile home park is. Should be a nice addition to hotel-row.

I noticed that today too, Clueless. What is the new Wyatt Earp expansion going to do to that lot, if any?? I remember, years ago, there was a motel there, but it has been torn down for a long time.

I have no idea. I'm not sure where the Earp expansion finshes on the west end. I would expect that the Hampton would be built on the hill, displacing the mobile home court.

Am I crazy or have I just been away too long. But I thought that the street that runs north and south to the west of the Dodge House WAS the city limits and that the trailer park was not in the city. If that's where they build the new motel, that will displace a lot of low-income folks. Cuz that's an older mobile home park, isn't it?
