| You’re right, Bubba, at least we do have a Home Depot and Target, but I’d trade the Target for your Alco in a heartbeat. Looks like we both have an alternative to Wal-Mart, at least for now. Nothin’ wrong with Wal-Mart, but it’s good to have a choice, isn’t it? It’s nice to have the full size Sears here, so I guess we’re lucky on that one. As for the restaurant / club you mentioned, the former Hilton became the Plaza Inn several years ago. They maintained the name of the bar area as Widow McGees for years, then changed it to simply McGees just over a year ago. Then the hotel changed ownership not long ago and the bar was renamed Sammy’s Steak and Spirits and became yet another tedious, dubious “sports bar”. During one recent visit, I saw a full-size sofa, complete with end table and lamp, positioned on the former postage-stamp size dance floor, no doubt to accommodate the placement of yet another oversized flat screen television tuned to ESPN. With that regrettable change in business philosophy, the only remaining place for drinks and dancing in GC is the venerable Grain Bin. Quit whining, Lou. All this only gives you another reason to head over to Dodge! *grin*

| You can have the Alco, Lou! I don't go in there since they don't allow handguns in the store. The last time I was in that building it was an Office Depot. I was in G.C. today. went to Target, Staples, Game Stop (I think that was the name) next to Hibbett's.

Calf Fries are the reason I quit going to Casey's. Had the worst ones there (a few years ago), and when I complained--it was on deaf ears! Quote:
Come on Bubba, are you gonna get "gunned down" in the Alco? CC is one thing, but there is also a "going overboard" thing too. |

| Right...like the people in Nebraska that didn't think they would get gunned down at local mall. The probability is low that it would happen but if it does it's good to be prepared and with a CC license he has the privelege to be prepared.

| They have the right to post the sign, I have the right to NOT do business there. It is much better to have your gun and not need it, than to need your gun and not have it.
