| Good Experience at Cowtown Tonight, Mary and I enjoyed dinner at Cowtown and had a very good experience. The food was good (she ordered baked cod, I had the halibut steak) and the waitress, a young Hispanic girl who was very sweet and nice, did a fine job of taking care of us. It was crowded, but the drinks and appetizer were delivered promptly, and when our dinners arrived, they were hot and delicious. As an added bonus (at least for me!), Miss Rodeo America was in town and at the restaurant, making a speaking appearance for a group. Mary and I were introduced to her by Mike, shortly after we were seated. Miss Rodeo was tall, beautiful and well-spoken; it was very nice of Mike to introduce her as they made their way past our table. After dinner, we headed for the Mall and spent some time buying a few things there. Both Mary and I wished we had a real mall here in GC, instead of an open "plaza" shopping area. Afterwards, we found a place to kick-up our heels a bit and get in a little dancing. Our evening in Dodge was a good one and we'll be back again in a week or two. You folks in Dodge are lucky... there's really no equivalent places in Garden City to do any of those things. No wonder Lou wishes he were still a DC boy... *grin* Best wishes for a good year, 'ya all!

| Glad you enjoyed your experiences in Dodge. But, some here would argue that you have it pretty good in Garden with a REAL Sears store to shop at and a Target, not to mention Home Depot and coming shortly a Sam's Club. For dancing and drinking there is still the Grain Bin isn't there? How about the club that is/was in what used to be the Hilton on Kansas & Campus?

| I'm used to it being called Casey's so just had to make sure ![]() I send lots of guests there, for the most part they've all been really happy with it. I've had one complaint on service in the the 2 1/2 years I've worked here and that's it. Alot of them tell me how they get to meet Casey, a few he's given tours of the restaurant too. I get alot of compliments on their steaks and more so of the prices.. People seem amazed about his prices!! That's definatley the first place I send ppl too. Than it's peppercorns, bad habits and hams.
