It's sad to think of all the buisnesses that have lived short lives because people don't give them a chance...ie: Office Depot, Dominos, Papa Johns, Papa Murphy's...My guess for next business to fail is ALCO (I think everyone is counting down the days).
I give every new business a chance, but the problem is that the new business doesn't give people what they want. Good food, good service, at a decent price. Same with other types of business. If the business doesn't care enough about me that they want my business, then they sure as hell won't get it!

Just showed up one day and they were closed. I do not believe for one minute Pizza Hut or God fathers pushed papa murphys out of town.
I liked their pizza, but was a little peaved at times with the attitude and service. One time I would get a really good pizza, then the next time it was pretty sorry! No consistency.

BTW, The Godfather's Pizza at Love's is AWESOME! They are actually tons better than the old GF.
I always wondered how come Walmart had not pushed Papa Murphs out of their store. Normally, if Walmart sells it, then they won't let any competition into the building. Same with anyone wanting to sell anything in the parking lot, (vegetables, fruit, bar-b-que), if Walmart has it for sell--they are not allowed.

Maybe GodFathers has improved their topping quality. I am familiar with the companies that make toppings for the chains, and it used to be that GF was the cheapest and worst quality.

I thought that Ken's Pizza was really good, but that was many moons ago. They used to be nextdoor to where El Charros is now in the empty lot East. And I think they were where Peppercorn's is now, at one time too. OK, that "ages" me a little!

Peppercorns was Big Cheese Pizza (after they moved out of where Mom and Pops Pool Hall used to be, and, if I remember, Godfathers was in the same spot before BC - I remember they had a sit-down Pac Man machine!)

Oh...and also heard that rumor thay Peppercorns is up for auction in the next couple months?

Where Peppercorn's is, before it was Big Cheese Pizza, it was Pizza Inn! I remember going there as a child in the late 60's and early 70's for the buffet.

I also have a gut feeling that part of the reason that Papa Murphy's might have closed would be that the rent on their space inside WalMart probably wasn't cheap.

ps. I heard a rumor that Angie from Bad Habits is going to buy the Peppercorn building!

musicmaker1 will become famous soon enough
wal mart pizza

Sorry to say, but the wal-mart pizza is not even close to equaling Papa murphys.
We had Pizza hut on Sunday and it sucked!!! Really bad tasting sauce.

Only if Papa murphys could have kept help!!! I'll have to try GF's at loves.

Didn't care for the previous GF location.

Lucky I used to run a couple of Mom & Pop pizza places back East and I make great home made pizza and calzones.

Lucky for me that is!!! LOL

Maybe I should start a side of the road pizza stand like the BBQ or Mexican food guys do.

Gotta go, Makin' Music
