I have been a loyal patron of the Sonic for 36 years. My first job was in 1969 as a carhop(on roller skates no less) for the Sonic. I worked there 3 1/2 years. My mom managed the old A&W on Earp for years. This A&W was nothing like the old one.

I don't think that Dodge City would support two. Remember what happened when Wendy's came to town and did so good! People didn't want to drive all the way to North Dodge to get a Wendy's burger so they put one on Earp, it didn't last long because there isn't enough population base to support two. Not that I wouldn't mind another Sonic closer to where I live, I just don't think it would work.

I hardly ever go out to fast food restaurants, but I thought I would tell you all of the service I received from the A&W this evening. I ordered supper for 3 in my car at 7:04 p.m. The food was brought out at 7:09 p.m. Food was hot, good and only one mistake (Cheese on a hamburger). The cost was only $16. Not a bad deal for 2 adults and a 13 year old boy.
