Anybody have a chance to see this movie yet? I heard it was pretty scary. Looks like it's pretty high up on the "Top Movie" list. Number 1???

I have today and tomorrow off, I might go catch a matinee...if I do, I will report back on what I thought.

OK, I went this afternoon. It's definitely not for those with a weak stomach. Personally, I didn't think it was as good as I was expecting it to be. It wasn't really a scary movie, just one that was filled with gore, but it takes awhile to get to the gore. I personally liked Saw 2 better.

While not a completely bad movie, I wouldn't have liked to pay full price. I would suggest either going to a matinee or waiting for it to come out on dvd. Personally, I like matinees, because there is nothing like seeing a movie on the big screen. Although you can't take away from the new HD TV's and digital sound systems you can get for your home theater. I know I love my Sony Wega HD with the digital surround capabilities of my surround sound system.

Yeah, that about sums it up.

Ok, really......the movie is like Bubba said, gory. It basically goes in this order when you watch it: Humor, nudity, humor, nudity, sex, confusion, gore, more confusion (but this time it is the audience who is confused).
In moviedom, unless it is a porno or romantic movie, sex always leads to some sort of demise. Also, for some reason, it always seems that the person who is hurt, crippled, or saved from mortal danger ALWAYS gets killed. One would think that people catch onto this and would just start leaving the wounded behind instead of risking themselves, because the person is going to die anyway.
If you liked the torture seen in "Marathon Man", "Payback", or any other torture type stuff, you will like this movie. If you like to see someone's head getting pounded by a blunt object UP CLOSE, you will like this movie. If you like in-depth, thought provoking, artistic and well acted movies.........then rent this one only for the sex scenes.

I saw "Over the Hedge" this weekend and it was kind of funny if you like to laugh and not have to think too much.

Davinci Code was ok.

I also saw DaVinci Code. Had heard it wasn't that good, but thought I would see for myself. I knew it wouldn't be an "edge-of-your-seat" thriller. I was pleased with the movie by the time the end credits rolled. I thought it was well filmed and interesting and makes you think.
