Would you like to see a 1/4 mile drag strip in Dodge

As a classic car fan I would love to see a 1/4 mile drag strip put in at Dodge City Raceway Park. One of my favorite shows is Pass Time. I'd also like to see a few car shows at DCRP as well.

Would you like to see a 1/4 mile strip at DCRP?

I know a lot of people who say that they prefer drag to track racing. I know one guy who used to drag race at a track around here somewhere as a kid but I have no idea where it was...

Drag Strip? Hell yeah! It would be something else to do in this town and would bring people in to spend their money. Some hotels and "different" restaurants would be nice near the racetrack.

I think there is a drag strip near or in Great Bend.

I'm so excited that we are actually going to have a couple of well known hard rock bands in concert here!!

I agree. When I heard that Pop Evil was going to play in dodge I thought NO WAY. How the heck did that happen?

Listen to that turbo wail just before he launches. WOO!

The late 80's turbo Caravans are so rad.

I'm all for a drag strip for the local grear heads to play at, but we don't need another 6 million dollar venue that has to be supported by tax dollars. i vote that the city allocate the land for a strip down by the current track and let a private club build a strip. that way you could get around the ada rules that make public sites so expensive. then the city could sponsor a half dozen big races a year. races that would draw drivers and fans from all over the country like the outlaws do.
