My AutoZone Experience

While at the lake we had some problems with the camper. It was hard to start and we had to prime the carburetor with gas to finally get it to go. All the way home it smelled like gas. My uncle told me that I needed a fuel pump.

So I thought I would give A&A Auto a call, because I saw them on DB. He quoted my $40.00 to do the work. I was supposed to pickup the fuel pump.

So, not knowing exactly what engine I have in my RV, I decided to drive the RV down to AutoZone to pick up the pump and then head down to A&A to drop off the RV. When I got to AutoZone in the RV, I smelled gas as I exited...and wondered if Id make it to A&A.

The manager was very cool and looked up the fuelpump. Unsure of what engine I had, he came out to the parking lot to inspect it (from inside the cab) where he could see the engine identification information. Then He went back inside to find the right pump. The computer showed 2 different pumps, so he went back out to the RV to verify what the pump looked like.

That's when it happened, he found the problem. He said "Man it's not your fuel pump, it's your fuel-line that's bad!" A flex fitting had deteriorated and was leaking gas all over the engine and the ground. He said "You can't drive this like this, you're going to blow up!"

So he went back inside, found the fuel line and crawled under my RV, in the AutoZone parking lock and proceeded to install it. He was soaked with gas because gas was pouring out from the lines and was all over the parking lot as well. He got the line replaced.

Not only did he save me the 63.00 for a fuel pump I did not need, but he found the problem and corrected it right on the spot, then refused to accept any money for doing the work. I tried to give him a $20 bill, but he wouldn't take it. Just charged me a few dollars for the line. I then bought a bunch of other things; oil, filter, air....to try and make up for all his efforts and the gas drenched clothes.

So this is a BIG THANK YOU! to Allan (unknown last name) the manager at Auto Zone, for going way beyond the call of duty to help a customer.

The RV is running perfect.

Twenty five years ago my best dog got out of her pen and I came home for lunch on the late shift to find her laying in the back yard unable to move. Apparently she had been hit by a vehicle as a later x-ray showed a fractured pelvis. I called the store to get help from my customer service manager who came over to baby sit the dog while I went back to close the store that evening. Thus began a long relationship that raised two great kids and a whole passel of dogs and cats. Here�s to another 25 babe.

Foghat & CCR

Just curious if anyone made it over to Garden Saturday night for the Foghat & CCR concert? If you made it over what did you think?

We had backstage passes and missed most of the Foghat set because we were waiting on CCR for a meet and greet. Had a great time with the exception of $4.00 canned beer and missing most of Foghat.

New Ice Cream Shop

Has anyone tried the new ice cream shop where Parrot Palace used to be? We haven't had a chance yet. It says on the window they have candied apples and cotton candy too. The husband noticed it last week, we just haven't had time to go get anything yet.

Has anyone heard or seen anything of MIT lately. He got loose again and I can't find him anywhere. I searched JR's house and car and no sign of him. I'm really getting worried about MIT, he has never been gone this long before. I'm afraid he wondered off and got lost. I may have to call the PD and put out a Senior Amber Alert. Please help.

Hey guys I really need your help. Today at approx. 9:30 a.m. our little dog named "Prince" escaped from our back yard. I almost had the little guy caught and he slipped away. He is a little Schnauzer looking dog who is different shades of grey and stands about a foot tall. His ears are cropped and tail is bobbed. He's wearing a royal blue collar. We got him from Ford County Humane Society and he is on Phenobarb. for seizures.

Please...if you see him...let me know. 225-0234. We live at 106 Antonita St. Just east of the civic center. If no answer you could leave a message or call me at work. 225-0500 and ask for Mike Boettcher, or leave a message with Dr. Gardner or who ever else may answer the phone.

No picture...but he looks like the attachment but with cropped ears.

Colorado '10

Just got back today from Colorado. Spent a week camping out and prospecting for gold. I brought back over 5 gal. of cons so it'll be a while till I actually know how much gold I found.

Going again next year...everyone's invited.

My new friend kept trying to get into the pocket of my jacket...he could smell the peanuts I had stowed away.

Mini Cooper Convoy

Was just downtown and saw a convoy of Mini Coopers leaving Boot Hill Parking lot. There had to be over 100 of them. Anybody know what that is all about?
