Don't waste your time putting in any Dodge CIty Zipcodes. The cheapest gas around here is ANYWHERE BUT DODGE.

I noticed that the Phillips 66 on Central went UP about 8 cents this morning, while other towns around us are going down. I think we are being held hostage by a few people that control the local fuel market.

That guy on Central is from Jetmore I think. His gas is always the first to go up and the last to go down and just about the highest in these parts....I used to buy gas there just because it was close to where I live and work and they sold E-85 and I wanted to "support" the farmers...but when his E-85 is higher than regular gas....pffffffffffffffft.

Do you have to do anything to the engine to run E-85? I didn't think a regular engine could run E-85. I use E-10(I think) from DC Coop in my Caddy. Am I misinformed on the E-85? Educate me! Does the exhaust smell funny with E-85?

Bubba, your vehicle has to be converted to run E-85. Some of the new vehicles have this feature. Normally you can run E-10 in most vehicles, unless they are fairly old. In some older vehicles, the alcohol causes deterioration of some of the components. (Kind of like the alcohol does to my magnificent body)!!!

I was wrong anyway....they sell E-10....not E-85. THat was me just not knowing what the hell i was typing. Some of the new vehicles they sell now can burn E-85.

OK, thanks. I thought that something had to be done to most cars to be able to run E-85. Thanks for clearing that up. DC Coop has the E-10 also, it's usually a penny or two cheaper than regular unleaded.

I think there are conversion kits for E-85, but I don't think they're affordable yet. Vehicles that say FlexFuel can run E-85
