One of the hot button issues is the # of children born here with illegeal parents. Do you split the family? If so what do you do with the children? Do you throw "legal US citizens" out of the US? If not - how do you say it's OK for the folks to break the law IF they are childbearing age?.... if they bear children. Does that make em legal? Does that make thier illegal choices legal?..... On that note I heard a caller on my fav talk station call in with this insight.

The law that allows a child born in the US to be automatically a citizen was a law that was encated for the slaves that were brought here against thier will. When they had children the children were automatacally US citizens &/or property. This was a time when the US needed all the "free/cheap" labor they could get. This law is so old and was passed for the very specific reason of taking a nation to a new level. Avery young nation at that. This is a prime example of how those same laws can come back and bite you in the ass. I just thought it was ironic that considering that the black and hispanic community is not exactly the "closest knit" races even tho they are both considered minority.............. that one race would use the other races laws to claim "citizenship" Funny one race was kidnapped and hunted down to bring them here. The other race will pay money to coyotes to bring them here and break the law time and time again just to re enter............. just strange tidbit....... to me.

The sad part is that while it seems 80% of Americans are ready to ship the whole lot back to Mexico nothing will happen. Amnesty will be granted and it will be celebrated not as an immigration victory but a Latino victory.Proving once again that there is no such thing as an elected Representative only big business puppets.

We should know by now that its not We The People that decide the important issue but big business. Who are the Americans supporting this run for amnesty? The businesses that are still making a living off them.

Even sadder is that we trot our happy butts to the polls come election day thinking we make a difference. Sure we can get dirt over asphalt on the local racetrack but when it comes to matters that deals with big businesses pocket book all votes are closed.

Yeah our soccer team in Houston was originally called 1840 sumthin.....not sure if it was 1846 or 1848........... geezus. - it offended the mexicans so much ...... the mexicans were so upset they changed the name to the Dominoes or Dynomites............ ticks me off that most of them whinnin probably only been here a month............ just a bunnch of crap. But the big buisness of sports bowed to them cause they are the soccer fans anyhow. I love soccer but wouldn't go if I had a free ticket now. Too many pachucos............ Our soccer games could be INS hayday. They otta just lock the doors and back the busses up.

On another note of trivia......... all this talk about not prosecuting those that help illegals.......... basically folks like the churches are whinnin that it's thier right to help the downtrodden, poor, hungry.... illegals......... and they don't want a law that makes it illegal........to help.

My opinion is STOP whinin........keep relgion in the churches. IF they come to you for help - fine......... but if you go out searchin.......... it should be finable at least. Churches need to stay the hell outta politics and law makin.
Geesh during the slave days if you helped a run away slave you got hung. So are we willing to give more help to border crossers( runaway mexicans,salvadorians,canadians, guatamalians) that are breaking the law than we gave to blacks who were breaking the law?........... I just see lots of division and lots of the same things that brought this country to civil war. Only this time they will bring the conflict over a group that isn't supposed to be here anyway.................... at least the slaves were brought here as property....... they didn't picket to get in..........which makes me think............. could we do that again? I'm hoistin my confederate flag.......... seems like the time to do it........

Right Tex....Native Africans were captured by rival Native African tribes and sold to slave traders ......and they damn sure didnt' rot away in those slave ships cause they wanted to come here.....They were forced to come here to man the plantations of all of our founding fathers ...who were the land barrons...... merchants....bankers....aristocracy....
