A little too rich for me.

Alrighty, then. I'm probly the most curious of any of you here. And this one definitely whetted my appetite. But as soon as the bids get completely outrageous, I begin to reconsider. I can see spending $10 or maybe even $20 just to see what this is all about. The business about reporting to a credit bureau is pretty much a sham. There's no way for a seller to find out personal information about a bidder. No way. This is about as stupid as the smashed sandwich. The stuff that a jilted boyfriend sells and tells his story day after day after day is kinda funny, though. Those usually get a laugh at least. This was just stupid.

<<<< There's no way for a seller to find out personal information about a bidder. no way. >>>>

Huh,
That is not entirely true. There are some legal ebay ways of obtaining contact information, and some that are not exactly by the ebay rules. If you think there is NO WAY to get what information you entered when signing up, you need a wake-up call.

I won't bore you with details, except to say some scammers are not too bright, others are masters of their craft. Let me put it this way, I have sold over 600 + items in 3 years on ebay. There are least 600+ people out there that know what some of my personal information is. Most of those people would cough up info to an investigation if they thought I was a scammer.

Of course the info has to be correct for any of this to be of any use, but I have obtained personal info on nothing more than a bidders ID.

And just for the record, the price was driven up intentionally. EBay Sellers HATE these kinds of auctions. They give good ebay sellers a bad name. In an effort to sqaush these mystery sellers, you will see this tactic often. Keep in mind that the seller is obligated to pay sellers fees on whatever the auction closes at. Then it makes work for the seller to get his Final Value Fees back. But all this means nothing if the ID has fake seller info, which is what feedback is for.
