Looks as though the employees have won the battle and forced Excel to rehire the walkouts but I hear Excel already has plans to win the war.

I've never quite understood people who feel they can strong-arm their boss and expect to remain employed for very long. I hear Excel plans to "work toward a more reliable employee base."

I would think they would have to do something. After pissing backwards yesterday the workers will be walking out for any little thing. They may have made a deal with the devil on this one.

The tragedy is that a shut-down will hurt the cattle feeders and only sting the packers.

Right the packers can take a hit and even pack their shit and move, but the feeders have cattle that need to be sold and slaughtered.
