"There are a lot of people who would argue a rape of a child is tantamount to taking their life, because you deprive them of their childhood," said Jay Hodge, the prosecutor in Hinson's case. But "as a practical matter, I don't feel comfortable that the U.S. Supreme Court would go along with it."

This is what I alluded to in another post re: Child Molestation

IMO.... The death penalty should apply for a repeat offender....
But they have " FRIGGING RIGHTS".... human rights.... but who says they are human.....

Yeah, I'm with ya Sunny (and welcome back!) - but at least MJ had bunches of money to share. This guy doesn't look like he has a penny to his name. I just don't get parents who don't take the time to get to know the other adults in their child's life - like den mothers (scouts), football-baseball-basketball coaches and even teachers. I hate it that there's so much going on in some parent's lives that they forget that raising children is their biggest job. Pay sucks, but a job well done there will pay off forever. I just don't get it sometimes. And then they wanna scream to the courts.......

I seems too many parents go by the old adage "Out of sight out of mind". As long as they're not being bothered by the kids they really don't care where they are. When my kids were young I wanted to know where they were and who they were with anytime they left the house.
