Immigration exceptions

Every now and then there’s a story about someone trying to get into this country and you just have to admire their ingenuity. This is an old story but whenever I think about it I really wish there had been an exception made for these folks.

Ball'z-e.

I've always been confused about that Cube'r deal...

Before Castro, Cuber was the mecca for gambling, drugs, prostitution and entertainment of the legitimate kind, too. Think: la Costa Nostral and all their ties. Hells bells; even (I Love) Lucy had ties there. JFK had a hardon for them and his Attorney General brother (Bobby) even took swings at them.

But what really happened was that that turn of events opened the door for Vegas to become what it is today.... It's got all those things plus their prostitues aren't even sure what sex they are or are willing to cross-mate with....

But I digress:

Is this long term problem with Cuber simply the outcome of what happens whenever a country kicks-out those US based la Costra Nostral dudes? Why are we still mad at them?

I found another link with lots of pictures. It says that one of the families finally made it here by going to Costa Rica and then (of all things) sneaking across the Mexican border.

I was just thinkin' that, Hiway. Since they're guarding the sea so well, it made more sense to go around to the back door. The deal is, no matter how ingenious, it's illegal. Period. I know how badly some must want to come live here - and even some that really do want to become tax-paying citizens - but they gotta follow the rules!
