Sprint Phones

My service has been in force long enough for me to get a new phone, $150 cash for a 2-year service and $75 cash for a 1-year service. I have the Samsung i500 now - with the PDA capability. I want to stay with that capability so I'm not carrying 2 or more devices. I'm looking at the Blackberry 7130C or the PPC6700. The Blackberry is about like the PDA in that it supports a calendar, Email, phone listings, etc. I'm OK with that. But the PPC seems to be a little more high-tech. It uses a Windows format, Email, phone, SD slot, etc. There's a $100 difference in the two phones. So which is better? I've had my old phone for about 3 years now and I love it....just time for a change. And I'd like to enable Email on it. The screen on it is so darn small, I couldn't read Email for comprehension and I couldn't open any attachments and hope for comprehension, so I've never enabled it. Thoughts anyone?

We might talk about how much money them wimmen are costing us sometimes. Mostly we like to talk about trucks, hot rods, hunting and fishing.

I use a Blackberry 7250. It works for my company's information system whereas nothing else will integrate fully. In my previous company the Blackberry's were not compatible. So I assume your IS department has blessed either or both? In the absence of one being incompatible with your work network, I'd go with the blackbery.

He wants to get me a PDA phone to use for email and stuff when I am on the move, but has not done so because both he and I were under the impression that there is no Sprint service out here.
Sprint has an office in the mall. And I believe they also work through United Telephone in South Dodge. That new tower up on 14th street is the new Sprint tower. I have talked to several locals who are using the system , and they all seem happy. Don't know how the coverage is outside of Dodge City. However, I am stuck on Alltell for awhile due to all of their damn contracts!

Smile

coverage through United Wireless of Dodge City is wonderful. They are associated with Sprint and you can go to the mall and find all the info....or go to their home office on McArtor Rd (just west of South Drive In).
I think you will be happy.

I took the dive last night---bought the Pocket PC. Quite a gadget! I can actually read the Emails, as opposed to looking at them on a tiny little screen on my Samsung flip phone. And this one works as a wireless, so I can get Emails even though it's not in the cradle or even in the same city. Good thing - am going to Myrtle Beach later this week and would have been totally unconnected. Can't have that! The Blackberry would not have accepted Palm's calendar and contact information like the Pocket PC did. Ugh - I didn't want to have to enter that all from scratch! Thanks, everybody!
