Big Dog compliation CD of Kansas Recording Artists 1988

Here's an interesting fact.... Martina McBride is also on that same CD with Dodge City band Switch. This is the CD she used, along with her hubby, to shop Nashville Record Companies. This demo CD is what she got her first Record deal from. So if it makes you feel any better at least some Nashville PR prople have listened to it. MC Hammer's Record Co. placed a hold on the Switch Album in in the early 90's that gave him one year to shop it or record it. It sat. Not sure what a Rapper wanted with Metal music??? oppps RunDMC, Beasties, ect...

As I recall the end of days. The Money Woman showed her fangs. After the CD was out, she thought she owned us. Our singer lifted his middle finger, walked out, and the next day was in the Army. Sad part was the Money Woman was the singers Mom. We went through several singers after that but it was never the same and eventually we just threw in the towel. We got screwed on everything. The 1000's of CD's (where did they go?), Tapes, 45's, the Equipment, and the Busses. The money woman got her investment back plus 1,000's.

Sounds tempting but I really don't think a 50 year old potbellied short hair like me would look good on stage. 20 years ago I would have jumped on it in a heart beat.

I do still have connections though. I'll send some possible suiters to the site.

Anybody have a copy of this cd that they could sell me a copy of? I would be interested in obtaining a copy of it.

Course I must add that I couldn't have gone to college without my GI Bill. So the job is a good one and the benies are hard to beat. Used to be no one could beat PX / AFEES prices but then WM came to town. Course they don't have the quality that PX's do. They only sell first rate stuff nowdays......
Yeah I get my cologne and stuff that normally I would buy at Dillards about 33% cheaper at the PX and the lil lady saves on her Lancome. New cd's are only $12.99 too! LOL I can't PROMISE a trip to the middle east but it's likely if you are lucky!

Hey, Army - which PX/AAFES do you shop? I thought the only one is in Leavenworth. Surely you don't drive clear up here without even a hello.

My bad ....
Big Dog Studio Sampler Volume I

Pat M. Jimsey
Cinema
Roxit
Single with Cheese
Martina (before she was McBride)
Barry Dean
Wedge
John Salem
Centerfold
Marshall Payne
Mitch Homburg
The Wichita Linemen
Flight of Boat Train
M J Project
Cliff Hanger & the Sequels
Switch (Dodge City)
No Parking (oakley ks)
Neon Barbwire
Eddie Lone
The Glove Fist
John Salem

John Salem and Bo Reusch engineered most all of it.
Centerfold, Cinema, No Parking, and Switch were all on the same cuircut playing the same clubs in rotation and played Hays, Dodge , Garden and Scott areas for several years. Roxit had a 3 man heavy metal band staring Vinny Mourning (was excellent to watch). Wichita Linmen been around forever. Martina sang RESPECT for her demo. Some of the acts are worthless hehe. They must have paid Dewey Coleman (aka Big Dog Motorcycles or the band Dewey and the Big Dogs) a bunch to get their song on it

I got my copy on ebay. I couldn't believe my eyes. There it was. I bid and won. I got to thinking when I seen the guy relist another for sale. Who's making money selling our song? I looked at the name on my won ebay item and it was Bo Rousch now living in Utah somewhere. Heck he probably owns the true rights to all of Switch's songs or at least more than me. Who knows what was actually signed after the recording sessions were finished and deals being made on the masters.

Speaking of which. What ever happened to the DAT? I know we got 45's cassettes and CD's, but we should have received the master DAT as well.

Also. Just had a call with a problem on williampx so I VPN's in to unlock the account and it kept asking for the PW. I checked the registry and it didn't have autologon set at all but it was trying the generic. I tried twice to set it up again and each time the autologon info disappeared out of the registry. Third time it worked. I'm assuming it had rebooted after the WSUS sent MS06-040.

We may need to watch as see if others do the same.
