I liked Poison back in the day - sure, it was all power chords and long hair, but it was popular back then. Were they good musicians? Sure...were they well rounded? Heck no! CC Deville could throw out some sound and all, but could not hold a candle to, say, Randy Rhoads. Nothing new has come out of the music industry since *gasp* rap in the early 80s. I have just about every kind of music in my collection - except for thrash metal. Just not my cup of tea. I never got into it, except for knowing a couple guys in Atrox back in the early 90s - and could never understand what the heck the lead singer "grunting" about for 4 minutes at a time. But, as a closing, I do think everyone should get out and support local music, or else we will lose it. Saturday night, Ask Vinnie will also be playing at Wright Park as sponsored by 93.9 the Buzzard and part of Dodge City Days. |

| Don't forget that Sunday night in the park that Jury is playing your favorite classic rock. They are sponsored by themselves and are participating in Dodge City Days as well and they could also use your support and encouragement.
