DC-Daze concert needs 2B in new Events Center

Without a doubt, the DC Days concert needs to be in the new events center.

Round-Up arena only holds about 5,000 people and the Phil Vassar show only drew about 3,000 people. Now the way I got's it figgered, a new SEC could hold 10,000 people and the ratio of capacity to attendance should show a 6,000 ticket show if'n we only had-had a new barn (of that size) to put him in.

LET'S HURRY UP AND GET-ER-DUNNNN!
What our forward thinking gummit FAThers haven't tol't us is how they will grow our attendees in the new SEC..... Think "fish tank" and you'll begin to understand. Why didn't I think of this? We build it and they will come BUT the SEC's exits don't exist.... It's a circle chute! No one leaves! This is wayyyy too kewl. So, every crowd builds on itself and finally we'll have a guaranteed turnout and all we'll have to do is fund their admission fee with our salez tax.

From what I remember, Commissioner Rick's logic says spending tax money on facility fun-ding creates wealth by a factor of 6. At least that's what he said about further funding of our successful racetrack. So, if'n we get FEMA funding to transport them to some on-site FEMA trailers at one end of the KDOT bicycle path then we could have them walk back to the next day's EVENTs!!! Surely some CONgress critter could write a grant for all that energy they didn't burn.

This is so exciting, I don't think I'll ever get to sleep tonight....

I was not one of the attendees to the concert. I never heard of Phil Vassar. Maybe if we had somewhere that would allow for more ticket sales they could get somebody that I might have heard of and I might buy a ticket or two.

Vassar's kinda like Elton John without the blowjobs. You've heard of him and even heard him but prolly not associated .....

In terms of star making machinery, he's about as big and current as Dodge can get when Corporate Sponsored road shows consider placement. Good Ole Dodge hosts about 100,000 pops but not all 100K are potential attendees. As with mass mailings, 3% is considered average response.

That's Anglo bidnezz. Latino Music is more like the old days when dirty money sponsored road shows..... dump the act anywhere and report huge attendances.... AND for the cost of sales tax, the money's clean.

He has written lots of songs for famous people that you would say, "I never knew he wrote that one". He made his living writing hits for other people long before they decided he could be a stage artist. He is kind of a David Frost for the country music industry.

Folks like Phil Vassar down here but Pat Green really sells the house out - Course country wise there ain't no crowd like the Strait crowd at the Houston rodeo........... 3000 is a good crowd for DC I would think - I'm sure there were lots of seats sold that were empty - so if ya actually got 3000 present at the concert - Roundup didn't lose any money

I bet we could get the Dixie Chicks pretty cheap for next year. At least I've heard of them!

One year when I lived out there and Lee Greenwood was popular, we had him out there. I just adored his music, but geez - he's a short guy!
